A Lesson from Pat Murphy and an apology to Matt Gonzalez

I got home late last night and read Pat Murphy’s apology to Matt Gonzalez. Pat, you are amazing. Thank you. It hit me like a ton of bricks. I had become more and more entrenched in my beliefs. And as more and more personal attacks came forward, I became more convinced, not less.

Anyway, when I read Pat’s apology, I realized that I needed to apologize too. The allegation was serious and even though I had sources, I should have been much more careful and not believed it so easily. My apologies. I was wrong.

And Pat, you put me to shame. But thank you for teaching me how to do it right. Now I have my call to make.
