Earlier this week, African-American florist Guy Clark’s business at Noe and 15th was vandalized, the letters KKK spray painted on his door. The police have labeled the incident a hate crime, and community leaders are circulating a letter decrying the incident and reminding the community of the symbolism of those three letters.

In the meantime, Valentine’s Day is upon us. What better way to say “I love you” then to send flowers. From Guy Clark.

Everyone in the community – hell, everyone in San Francisco – should direct their flower purchases to Guy Clark.

Don’t have a significant other? Get one. Send flowers to friends, co-workers, anyone. Let’s let Guy know he’s a critical part of our community by strongly, STRONGLY supporting his business. Let’s make Guy Clark the most successful florist in San Francisco. And let’s buy from him for the rest of the year. Also, I suspect he doesn’t do deliveries, so it gives everyone a chance to meet him personally.
