Today, I had to take the T-Third Street Rail to Dogpatch for an appointment. As I waited for the train at Civic Center, I heard a voice over the loud speaker say, “The T-Train is at the Church Station.”

On the way back, I just missed a T-train. When I got onto the platform, the sign noted “2 minutes.” Two minutes went by and the sign then said “three minutes and 15 minutes.” I chuckled-and then I heard someone called out “Hey lady.” I turned around and a bus driver was leaning out of his window with the bus sign stating “Shuttle.”

As I ran onto the buss, I said, “Trouble with the T-Line?” He just shook his head.

So the bus went down Third Street-and the bus driver would lean out and call to the passengers waiting on the platform.

As we got to Market Street, he announced that it was last stop and that there was a 71 waiting for us. The entire bus sprinted to the 71-and as the speediest runner got to the 71, it floored out onto Market-leaving us behind.

I went down into the Embarcadero Station. As I waited for the train, I heard over the loud speaker, “T-Train at Castro Street.”

So much for the new and “improved” MUNI.
