Landlords fund tenant attack mailer
Okay. I know it is hard to believe, but there are alot of landlords like Pius Lee who care deeply about tenants rights. So much so that they did an attack mailer on Phil Ting to ensure that tenants rights are protected in San Francisco. Yes. I know. The irony is not lost on me either.
The Affordable Housing Alliance was the sponsor of the piece. They made a slate mailer into an attack mailer and a bunch of landlords gave money to make sure that the slate mailer went out to renters to let them know who to support.
According to some, a certain Supervisor helped out with a Walgreens store that Pius Lee wanted. Needless to say, we are all made better by having chain stores in our city and again, I’m glad to know that so many landlords care so very deeply about tenants rights.
Pretty sketchy/sleazy.

From what I understand, his opponent has equally dubious funders and actually I could name several icons on the left who have had plenty of sketchy funders. My point was that I found it ironic at best that a tenant attack mailer was funded exclusively by landlords. I suspect that others do too.
The mailer was pretty sleazy and as progressives we can do better than this.
