The Supervisors’ Government Audit and Oversight Comnmittee will be holding a hearing on the city’s TechConnect proposal at 1pm Monday at City Hall.
Kimo Crossman has posted what seems to be a draft of the city’s Request for Proposal, and has some comments.
I’ll have some analysis of the draft and what it’s missing later today, after I get out of the house for a few hours, but the short form is it’s a little disturbing. It is, as I feared, an exclusively technical document dealing with the mechanics of wifi for the city, with no consideration given to the harder but more important parts of the initiative.
