Eileen!
Eileen Hansen was appointed to the Ethics Commission yesterday.
When Eileen was running for Supervisor in 2000, I helped out a little with her campaign. At the time I was struck (and occasionally a little frustrated) by her insistence on following every ounce of the spirit of the campaign finance laws, as well as their letter. Any time there was a question about whether something was kosher, Eileen and her campaign took the high road.
I have a huge respect for Eileen and am pleased to know that someone with her integrity will be on the Ethics Commission.
As a side note, I was amused to see Michela Alioto-Pier complaining about someone else's political connections.
