Jackie and All That Jazz

A group called The African American Coalition for Jackie is putting on an event for State Senator Jackie Speier's 2006 campaign for Lieutenant Governor. Co-chairs are Bernice Brown and Fred Jordan. The "Coalition" includes name like: Doris Ward, Heather Hiles, John Burris, etc. Their calling the event "Jackie and All That Jazz" and it will include drinks, entertainment and award winning soul food. Giving levels range from "Eighth Note" ($50) to "Conductor" ($5,000). I didn't make the cut and I know why. I am politically active but my bank account puts certain limits on my activity -- I'm not dead broke but I ain't rich, either. Can I get a volunteer to attend and bring me back a plate of chicken?
