Gender Anarchy

We've talked before about the role that bathrooms can play in the lives of transgender people.

Well, Amelia Marzec, a Masters candidate at Parsons School of Design, came up with a proposal to do something about it. The Gender Anarchy Project is an interactive bathroom sign that breaks down the ridiculous (and dated!) guy-in-pants/woman-in-skirt dichotomy.

It's unfortunately probably not practical, but it's very cool. Check out the Show page on her site for a very cute diagram of the effect of the work.
