Bush: "gay marriage will end terror"

OK, stay with me on this one. The new Pope spoke on gay marriage yesterday, and he 'condemned same-sex unions as fake and expressions of "anarchic freedom"'.

Today, (and not, I don't think, for the first time), George Bush said:
By spreading freedom throughout the broader Middle East, we'll end the bitterness and hatred that feed the ideology of terror.
Now, Bush didn't specifically mention "anarchic" fredom, but given that the only freedom we've been spreading in the Middle East lately is the freedom to be blown to bits, I'm guessing he'd take the anarchic kind if necessary. I, of course, am all in favor of gay marriage, but it seems unlikely even to me that it's the solution to terrorism. But he's been successful so far...

I have a feeling that Gay Shame wouldn't agree with the pope that marriage = anarchy -- rather they would argue that gay marriage reinforces the state regulation of relationships rather than subverting it.
