Pathetic, insecure, weak men

The prosecutor made opening statements in the Gwen Araujo trial today. Gwen was murdered by three teenagers named Michael Magidson, Jose Merel and Jason Cazares. Last summer their trial ended in a mistrial when the jurors deadlocked over whether it was premeditated or not.
In an opening statement, Prosecutor Chris Lameiro said,
She (Gwen) didn't know that those she thought were her friends, those she had enjoyed being with socially and, in some case, sexually, were not who they seemed. They're pathetic, insecure, weak men who would end up snuffing her life when they confirmed their suspicions.

Couldn't agree more.

One of the more repulsive aspects of the case last year was how the defense attorneys used the offensive strategy called the “gay panic” and “trans panic” defense where the attorneys argue that we should all just understand how upset they were when they "found out Gwen was transgender." I'm sure they were very upset. And they probably ate twinkies too. And Dan White was so persecuted. And well, yeah, they all make me vaguely sick

I agree and I also wonder what type of panic Gwen felt.
