Queer Notes: History is being made today

According to Steve Hansen, from Equality California, AB 19 will be heard today on the Assembly floor. If we can pass it in the Assembly, there shouldn't be a problem with the Senate.

The effect of a member abstaining or not voting is the exact same as a no vote since 41 yes votes are required to pass legislation in the Assembly.
