Sodom & Me: Queers vs. Fundamentalism?
No. Not me, me. But some folks tomorrow night are talking about queers and fundamentalism. In fact, two of my favorite writers, Zak Szymanski and Patrick Califia will be there. I have to work but I'll be there on the late side. Check it out at 7:30pm, The Center/Ceremonial Room
Tickets: $5- $15 ((g)literati tickets $8-$15)
Reservations & Info: (415) 864-4124 or Qcc@queerculturalcenter.org
Their description of the event:
New year, same Bush. But what about the nation that elected him? The red voter revolution has begun. And blue is the new 1950's red. But how can queers, usually the freakiest in the lot, create any kind of working relationship on the national, state, or local level with the fundamentalist Christian right which sees them as forever damned? Is this a war between queers and religious fundamentalism?
Featuring wicked damned performers: Patrick Califia, Justin Chin, Jaime Cortez, Juba Kalamka, horehound stillpoint, Mattilda a.k.a. Matt Bernstein Sycamore, zak szymanski, Joel Tan.

Check out this handsome fellow...Yep. Zak is not only a great writer, he is also cute! He has that tortured artist look going in this picture.
